How to configure Network Adapter IP Address in Server Core Windows Server 2012

These two new PowerShell v.3 cmdlets will do this task easy:

Get-NetAdapter -Name Wired*Connection | New-NetIPAddress -IPv4Address "192.168.100.22" -PrefixLength "24" –DefaultGateway “192.168.100.1”

Configure IP Address with PowerShell v.3 in ServerCore

This cmdlet configure DNS address:

Set-DnsClientServerAddress -InterfaceIndex (Get-NetAdapter -Name Wired*Connection).ifIndex -ServerAddresses "192.168.100.10"

Set DNS Client with PowerShell v.3 in Server Core

More IP-related PowerShell v.3 cmdlets with:
